The Evolution 6 is perfect for a DSLR with up to a 5½” lens attached, an additional lens or two, and a flash. It offers unprecedented versatility for quick access to photo gear. With its unique harness system, it can be carried three different ways - as a backpack or as a sling pack worn over the right shoulder or the left shoulder. With Tamrac’s Triple Access System™, there are also three way to access photo equipment - through the front door and through two side doors.

Three Ways to Carry View
With their unique harness system, the Evolution backpacks can be carried three different ways – as a backpack or as a sling pack using a single strap worn over the right or left shoulder.
Convert From Backpack to a Sling Pack
To convert to a sling pack, simply cross-connect a single shoulder strap (red to red for carrying on the right shoulder or blue to blue for carrying on the left shoulder). The other shoulder strap is easily tucked away in Tamrac’s Tuck-A-Way™ harness system.
Foam-Padded Top Compartment ViewA foam-padded top compartment provides storage for a light jacket, lunch, or other photo accessories. A mesh pocket in the back keeps small accessories separate and secure, while a Windowpane-Mesh™ pocket on the inside door panel holds additional small items.
QuickClip™ Tripod Attachment System View
A tripod is cradled (centered and balanced) securely with Tamrac’s QuickClip™ tripod attachment system while the lower Tripod Foot Pocket holds two tripod legs secure.
Side Pockets and Rain Cover View
Each side has a zipper-closing pocket for accessories like a phone or iPod. The right pocket contains a removable rain cover, which can be slipped over the pack during extreme weather.

I do a lot of outdoor photography. This is great to use when hiking as a backpack or attending an event as a slingpack for easy access. It is my-go-to bag that I use the most. It holds everything I need, but is fairly compact. There is no wasted space. I have it full right now ready to go to a little league baseball game. I absolutely love it.
This would be a great bag to use for photo taking excursions!
It’s perfectly designed for quick accessibility whether that’s grabbing the camera, a different lens, new battery or memory card with it sling strap. Store some snacks and drinks for that long trip to get just the right photo! Plus, no having to set things down and missing that great shoot bag in front or behind you can still get that photo. Would be an amazing pack.
I have researched every camera bag on the Internet & Tamrac has the best design I’ve seen yet! I do a lot of outdoor photography and need a backpack that can hold lenses , camera, lights, tripod & laptop with easy access. Tamrac is the best camera bag out there! Trust me I’ve researched them all.
