Holds Camera Gear and Laptop

The Evolution 8 is perfect for a DSLR with up to an 8″ lens attached, several additional lenses, and a flash.  A foam-padded pocket in the back holds most 15.6″ screen laptops (up to 15″ x 10¼” x 1½” in size).

Three Ways to Access Gear View

Photo gear can be accessed three different ways – through either side door when the pack is still worn over one shoulder or through the front door panel when the pack is removed.

Three Ways to Carry View

With their unique harness system, the Evolution backpacks can be carried three different ways – as a backpack or as a sling pack using a single strap worn over the right or left shoulder.

Convert From Backpack to a Sling Pack

To convert to a sling pack, simply cross-connect a single shoulder strap (red to red for carrying on the right shoulder or blue to blue for carrying on the left shoulder).  The other shoulder strap is easily tucked away in Tamrac’s Tuck-A-Way™ harness system.

Foam-Padded Top Compartment View

A foam-padded top compartment provides storage for a light jacket, lunch, or other photo accessories.  A mesh pocket in the back keeps small accessories separate and secure, while a Windowpane-Mesh™ pocket on the inside door panel holds additional small items.

QuickClip™ Tripod Attachment System View

A tripod is cradled (centered and balanced) securely with Tamrac’s QuickClip™ tripod attachment system while the lower Tripod Foot Pocket holds two tripod legs secure.

Side Pockets and Rain Cover View

Each side has a zipper-closing pocket for accessories like a phone or iPod. The right pocket contains a removable rain cover, which can be slipped over the pack during extreme weather.

  • perfect bag By Andrea Pyle

I’ve been looking everywhere for a photo backpack that will handle what I need it to do and this bag has everything on my wish list. It’s nice to know someone was listening to what photographers have been asking for when designing it.

  • Best bag so far!! By Charles Shaw

I have gone thru about 5 camera bags before i found this one. Needed a new bag before i went to Europe for a month. What I like best about the Evolution is the triple access- front and both sides. You can set it up so the camera is accessed on one side and the lenses on the other. And you can use the bag like a backpack for long term comfort or a sling for shorter outings. Even with the Lowe sling getting my camera (Canon 7D with zoom) out requires a little contortion, but the SLR is right there with the Evolution. It really combines the best features and has plenty of storage. I love that it has the tripod pocket and the extra storage. Build quality is good and the extra pockets all over the bag are well thought out and enable rational storage of needed items. This bag is really the most versatile I have seen as an all around bag for short hikes and long trips.

  • Simple & Convenient By Kirby Small

For myself, an aspiring photographer in college, the Evolution 8 bag works perfect. Its exterior look gives a modern feel that is professional but casual in any setting. The interior itself is customizable to any extent for what works best for you. The compartments all over in the bag provide easy access for any situation plus it’s just a comfy bag that provides support while lugging around all your camera gear. I would definitely pick this bag if you’re starting out as a photographer and want to make sure all your gear is protected while going from shoot locations. Good luck out there photographers!

  • THIS is THE bag By Linda V

I’ve been shopping around for a long time for a new bag to carry my constantly growing amount of equipment to no avail. Nothing out there has come remotely close to my requirements and I’ve even contemplated making my own bag. Not any more.

The Evolution 8 meets every single need and want on a photographer’s wish list. There’s ample space for many lenses, your laptop (which I carry when travelling even on day trips), multiple cameras and even a spot for the ever trusty tripods. Multiple access points also bring this bag to the very top of the list.

Just pack and go whether it be an hour long shooting spree or a month long journey of discovery.

  • Large versatility without the bulk By Jeff Whetstone

The evolution 8 is a fantastic bag for any photographer who needs a medium sized bag for day hikes for weekends. It houses a large compartment that you can put a dale with grip attached and a telephoto lens as well. It’ll carry several other lenses or accessories as well as memory cards and filters. They is a easily accessible front pocket that offers ample room for a light jacket or munch as well as personal items like phones and keys or a wallet. One point of this bag that is convenient is that you can access your gear from three seperate openings, and you can wear it three different ways. The included tripod holder makes this bag a real asset to those who shoot nature and landscapes.
