Three Ways to Access Gear View

Photo gear can be accessed three different ways – through either side door when the pack is still worn over one shoulder or through the front door panel when the pack is removed.

Three Ways to Carry View

With their unique harness system, the Evolution backpacks can be carried three different ways – as a backpack or as a sling pack using a single strap worn over the right or left shoulder.

Convert From Backpack to a Sling Pack

To convert to a sling pack, simply cross-connect a single shoulder strap (red to red for carrying on the right shoulder or blue to blue for carrying on the left shoulder).  The other shoulder strap is easily tucked away in Tamrac’s Tuck-A-Way™ harness system.

Foam-Padded Top Compartment View

A foam-padded top compartment provides storage for a light jacket, lunch, or other photo accessories.  A mesh pocket in the back keeps small accessories separate and secure, while a Windowpane-Mesh™ pocket on the inside door panel holds additional small items.

QuickClip™ Tripod Attachment System View

A tripod is cradled (centered and balanced) securely with Tamrac’s QuickClip™ tripod attachment system while the lower Tripod Foot Pocket holds two tripod legs secure.

Side Pockets and Rain Cover View

Each side has a zipper-closing pocket for accessories like a phone or iPod. The right pocket contains a removable rain cover, which can be slipped over the pack during extreme weather.

  • Love the Evo 9 By Patrick Reid

I recently upgraded to the Evolution 9 bag. I had the Evolution 8 and wanted a little more room. This has the room I need. It has become my only camera bag. When it is full it is a little to heavy to be a sling. I use it as a backpack and it works great. I take it everywhere. I don’t take a laptop so I use that pocket for rain gear. I wish it had a location for a water bottle, but I use a carabiner to attach one to the strap.

Pros – roomy and protects all my gear. Holds 4 Lenses and Canon 5D MK3. Comfortable on long day trips.

Cons – Lacks water bottle pocket and Tri-pod mount could be designed a little better.

  • Picture Perfect! By Brooks Ballard

Personally I’m kind of a product snob but this bag is the best bag I’ve ever used! This comfy and relatively light bag has room for all of my supplies and necessities! High quality bag worth the price and amazingly crafted!

This is the perfect bag. Good size for traveling to a shoot site while allowing you to bring a laptop to keep notes or pass time until you’re ready to shoot.

  • No Compromise By Roger Meinert

The convenience of a sling pack with the storage of a backpack. This bag provides the best of both worlds. With ample storage, I don’t have to compromise what I take with me on a photo shoot.

  • Awesome backpack!! By Heather Manu

This Evolution 9 backpack is just what I need to be able to carry both a camera and my laptop. It is nice because you will not need to carry multiple bags. There is enough room to carry other items as well. Great bag!!
